Dr. Phon has been practicing Audiology for over 27 years. His work with the hearing impaired population began at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City. In 1978 he moved to St. Louis, Missouri and began work in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Washington University School of Medicine. Teaching and working with graduate students at the Central Institute for the Deaf were part of his duties while at the University. In 1980 Dr. Phon was one of the first audiologists to open a private practice in the state. In addition to his dedication to clinical work, Dr. Phon has maintained a strong commitment to continuing his personal professional education. This includes a Master of Science degree in Gerontology in 1996 and a Doctorate in Audiology in 2000.

In addition to his professional duties, Dr. Phon contributes his time and talents to the community. He is an active member in the Chamber of Commerce, Alzheimer's Association and Rotary Club.

1973: Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University College of New York at Brockport.

1973: Certification in Speech and Hearing Handicapped Education from the State of New York Department of Education.

1975: Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Audilogy from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y.

1975: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

1977: Licensed Clinical Audiologist from the State of Missouri.

1978: Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist from the State of Missouri.

1990: Fellow Status from the American Academy of Audiology.

1996: Master of Science Degree in Gerontology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

2000: Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida, Gainesville

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Diane has been working with Dr. Phon at the Audiology Center for 17 Years. She is in the office Monday-Friday and always welcome new patients in scheduling appointments, purchasing hearing aid supplies and solving realted problems. She is responsible for setting up patient accounts, including tracking and processing payments. With her skills in dealing with the different insurance plans and companies Diane is a significant assest to our patients.

Marni


Data Entry

Marni has been working part time at the Audiology Center for two years. She is skilled and helpful in working with patient's insurance companies. Marni is always willing to lend a helping hand, especially wit hour young patients of family members. She is responsible for updating records and files. Marni also maintains the Audiology Center's Library, which include an extensive array of books, brochures, and videotapes used to assist outr patients and their families.
